ISLA Study Sites
University of Wisconsin
The University of Wisconsin is the central IRB for the ISLA Network sites involved in the study of aging in autism. ISLA’s primary study is titled, “Toward Healthy Aging in Adults with Autism: A Longitudinal Clinical and Multimodal Brain Imaging Study,” which is funded by the NIH Autism Centers of Excellence award.
University of Utah
The University of Utah is where the ISLA Network was born. Drs. Janet Lainhart and Andy Alexander began their collaboration over 20 years ago. Data collection for a 20+ year longitudinal study following autistic adolescents continues today with the help of many willing and dedicated participants and their families.
University of Florida
The University of Florida is the newest study site to join the ISLA Network. The Developmental Network Neurobiology Lab, lead by Dr. Brandon Zielinski, will play a fundamental role in the ISLA Network’s plan to enhance diverse perspectives.
